Delta Solutions & Strategies in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a Senior Aerospace Engineer to support SSC Space Sensing activities at LA AFB in El Segundo. The role covers systems engineering, mission integration, and space system lifecycle from concept development to sustainment.

The ideal candidate combines extensive aerospace experience with strong communication skills, leadership, and the ability to coordinate input from Government and contractor teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in aerospace systems engineering and space systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication for government briefs.
• Ability to lead complex work across government and contractor teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex technical or analytical tasks and coordinate inputs from multiple stakeholders.
• Review work products, mentor team members, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Apply systems engineering methods across the full lifecycle from concept to sustainment.
• Review requirements, SPNs, IMS schedules, test docs, and interface specifications for completeness.
• Track performance, risk, interfaces, and mission readiness with government oversight.
• Support spacecraft, payload, launch vehicle, ground system, and mission-partner integration.
• Participate in technical interchange meetings, design reviews, and readiness reviews.
• Conduct trade studies, mission planning analyses, and technical assessments.
• Support configuration management, mission assurance, system safety, and launch readiness.
• Develop assessments, reports, briefings, white papers, and action-item tracking for government review.
• Communicate risk and impacts clearly to government stakeholders.
