Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Space Systems Engineer to translate customer needs into technical requirements and drive MBSE-based solutions for Space Systems Command at Kirtland AFB. The role focuses on risk assessment, interface management, requirements verification, and architecture development to deliver integrated systems.

Qualifications

• MBSE project definition and execution experience.
• Familiar with MBSE tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw or similar modeling tools.
• Familiar with DOORS Next Gen.
• Knowledge of systems engineering and integration principles.
• Ability to lead systems engineering activities for system of systems baseline.
• Experience with test and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and supporting model-based systems to support a variety of systems.
• Developing and improving Systems Engineering processes for the program.
• Effectively communicating with all levels of the organization to determine process needs and to support other engineers as a model-based systems SME.
• Partnering with other Systems Engineers to design full life-cycle systems engineering processes that include documentation, workflow automation, efficiency measurement, bi-directional traceability.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
