• Knowledge of systems engineering and integration principles.
• Ability to lead systems engineering activities for system of systems baseline.
• Experience with test and evaluation.

Description

SAIC is seeking aSpace Systems Engineer with Model-Based Engineeringexperience to join our team supporting the Space Systems Command. The ideal candidate can translate the customer’s needs into technical requirements and specifications so the team can deliver a customer focused engineering solution.

In this role, the systems engineer willsupport development and definition, including performing risk assessments, management of interfaces, technical planning, requirements verification and involvement in systems architecture development. The selected candidate willmerge MBSE and systems-of-systems engineering and integration to create MBSE models that drive integration.Additionally, the candidate needs to be experienced in providing support in systems/subsystem integration and test while working closely with program management to assure complete program integrity. This is a fast pace / high temp position working out ofKirtland, AFB New Mexicowith exciting opportunities to grow your career at SAIC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering and 9 or more years of relevant experience; Master’s degree and 7 years of relevant experience.
• Active Top Secret or DoE Q clearance with SCI eligibility (must be eligible for SCI indoctrination within first 3 months of start date) and be able to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.
• Experience with defining and executing MBSE projects.
• Familiar with MBSE tools, such as Cameo, MagicDraw or similar modeling tools.
• Familiarwith DOORs Next Gen.
• Knowledge of systems engineering and integration principles and concepts.
• Ability to lead systems engineering activities that define and evolve a system of systems baseline.
• Experience with test and evaluation.

You will wow us even more if you have these skills:

• Experience usingMBSE tools, such as Cameo, MagicDraw or similar modeling tools.
• Experience usingDOORs Next Gen.
• Ability to integrate MBSE models and other technical baseline data, including CAD, Models, and Sim.
• Experience on programs migrating systems to the cloud.
• INCOSE, MBSE, and SysML Certification.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
