Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), Space Mission Systems (SMS) invites an End-to-End Space Systems Engineer (Experienced or Lead) to join our El Segundo team. This onsite role requires a TS clearance, space systems expertise, and collaboration across large teams to deliver complex capabilities.

The position covers system requirements, CONOPS, design documents, verification, and traceability with travel as needed. Level 3/4 responsibilities include leadership and major system analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• 5+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination.
• 3+ years of systems integration with systems engineering processes.
• 3+ years of satellite system design, development or test.
• Experience with architecture, ConOps and requirements for space-based systems and ground support.

Responsibilities

• Manage Space Segment External Interfaces and develop ICDs as required by contract.
• Perform system requirements and verification planning and execution.
• Maintain requirements traceability and VCRM for system-level requirements.
• Develop and model Space Segment Intersegment CONOPS.
• Develop and maintain System Design Documents (SDDs).
• Use MBSE to develop and maintain the System Architecture Model.
• Conduct system trade studies and system-level analyses.
• Develop Intersegment Test Plans and requirements for demos and test beds.
• Support execution of System Operational test and evaluation activities.
• Verify and approve system-level requirements and selloff.
• Willingness to travel locally on an infrequent basis.
