Gravitics in Seattle is seeking a Lead System Safety Engineer to own system safety for pressurized spacecraft and modular orbital structures, including vehicles that dock with crewed space stations.

You will lead the end-to-end safety lifecycle, author hazard analyses and safety data packages, and present before station operator and NASA safety review panels.

Collaborate with systems, avionics, propulsion, and software teams to ensure safety drives the design and that regulations are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or systems engineering.
• 7+ years in aerospace system safety or related propulsion/fluids engineering.
• Experience authoring hazard reports or safety packages approved by NASA.
• Knowledge of SSPs and NASA safety standards.
• Ability to mentor safety engineers.

Responsabilités

• Lead the end-to-end system safety lifecycle for pressurized spacecraft and modular structures.
• Author hazard analyses, safety data packages, and safety verifications.
• Represent safety in reviews with station operator and NASA safety panels.
• Coordinate with systems, avionics, propulsion, and software teams.
• Drive safety requirements into design trades early.
