The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an Aerospace Software Testbed Development Engineer (Senior/Engineering Specialist) in El Segundo, CA, with a strong passion for space and software development. The role focuses on developing and validating software for flight systems, embedded targets, and simulators.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality software-in-the-loop environments, and lead efforts in testing, analysis, and mission assurance for national space programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor7;s degree from an accredited college/university program.
• 4+ years of professional or educational experience.
• Experience providing technical support with customers, program offices, engineers and contractors.
• Experience programming in Python and Java or C/C++.
• Relevant project experience in dynamics, control systems, control algorithm design, or modeling & simulation.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Support NRO and DoD customers with software-in-the-loop and emulator-based simulations.
• Develop models of space system components for simulators.
• Test and analyze software in launch vehicles, spacecraft, CubeSats, and mission-critical systems.
• Develop and maintain simulations to support software validation and day-of-launch activities.
• Create tools and techniques to enhance analysis and simulation capabilities.
• Drive innovation and deliver results to customers.
