Job summary

SAIC in Colorado Springs seeks an experienced Senior Hardware Engineer to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, for maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to missile surveillance and space surveillance missions.

You will perform on-site maintenance, generate drawings per ASME/IEEE, manage LRUs, and support system integration and testing across complex communications systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• Experience sustaining complex military electronic systems requiring lifecycle management and upgrades.
• Ability to document, report, and analyze maintenance outcomes for long-term sustainment.
• Hands-on experience with hardware testing, calibration, troubleshooting, debugging and repair of sophisticated systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide site and lab maintenance support and troubleshooting to resolve complex issues with subsystems.
• Perform EDLM/UDLM on-site maintenance to resolve critical system issues.
• Generate engineering drawings per ASME and IEEE standards (rack drawings, wiring diagrams, cable assemblies).
• Maintain Line Reparable Units (LRUs) in a lab environment per established processes and specs.
• Support system integration, test, development, and execution of complex communications systems.
