Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. in Colorado Springs seeks a seasoned Program Manager to lead complex satellite ground resource management programs.

You will oversee multi-disciplinary IPTs, interface with engineering, contracts, and finance, and drive programs from planning through execution to satisfy customer requirements. The role requires clear leadership, experience with EVMS/IMS, and strong ability to manage contracts and cross-functional teams; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in a business, engineering, scientific, or other technical discipline.
• 10+ years of project or program management experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.
• Proficiency with EVMS, IMS, Risk and Risk reduction efforts, and customer and subcontractor relations.
• Direct experience managing within different FFP, CPFF/AF/IF, and T&M contract vehicles.
• Experience with scheduling applications and maintaining a detailed Integrated Master Schedule.
• Experience in managing contractual and technical requirements directly with customers and subcontractors.
• Experience writing subcontractor SOWs and CPSR-related procurements.
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with Waterfall and Agile/SAFe methodologies.
• Travel required ~ 20-25%.

Responsibilities

• Strategically and tactically plan program actions, milestones, and success metrics for Kratos and subcontractors.
• Establish the program’s requirements, budget, and IMS via Earned Value Management System.
• Set KPIs and milestones to track progress against budget and tasks.
• Lead risk identification and mitigation plans, including contingency planning.
• Lead cross-functional engineering teams and IPTs on satellite comms and site construction.
• Maintain customer and subcontractor relationships and ensure FAR compliance.
• Budget and manage Firm-Fixed and Cost-Plus projects with CPSR alignment.
• Manage technical and business baselines and control scope creep.
• Provide technical advice and coordinate resource allocation across functions.
• Present to customers and senior management; develop CDLRs and SOWs.
• Travel to customer meetings and internal planning sessions.
