Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Special Technical Operations Lead to head a dispersed team supporting a national security space mission. You will oversee STO operations, ensure timely reporting, and coordinate program planning across mission centers. The role requires SME-level knowledge and active TS/SCI clearance, with on-site work in Springfield, VA.

The position emphasizes integration of new capabilities, feedback to Acquisition offices, and risk management for space operations and defense programs.

Qualifications

• 12+ years' combined experience working in space defense operations and STO with bachelor’s degree; 14 years in lieu of degree
• 2+ years of project management or experience leading space operations or planning teams
• 2+ years at relevant IC organizations conducting space ops
• Active TS/SCI with adjudicated Poly
• Experience facilitating connections between senior staff and leadership across customer enterprise
• Experience building checklists, procedures and exercise scenarios
• SME knowledge of space surveillance networks and related policy

Responsibilities

• Lead team personnel, STO operations and reporting activities
• Manage ACCM
• Prepare briefings, reports and other products for informational and decision purposes
• Assess procedures and provide feedback to Acquisition offices
• Deconflict offensive planning with national space-mission centers
• Support system integration, automation & machine learning and exercises
• Identify gaps and risks and report, mitigate them
• Work full-time on-site at a government facility in Springfield, VA
