Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Staff Mission Integration Engineer to own complex spacecraft analysis and serve as the primary liaison between customers and technical teams to ensure mission success.

The role is embedded in a fast-moving space environment, coordinating across electrical, mechanical, and software engineering to meet program goals. You will lead architecture trades, development of mission capabilities, and formal reviews while guiding technical documentation and integration

Qualifications

  • U.S. Person status is required due to export control data access.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related engineering field.
  • 10+ years of experience on complex hardware systems or technical capture management.
  • Experience in satellite manufacturing or related aerospace/defense sectors.
  • Strong space systems, launch vehicle mechanics, and orbital dynamics knowledge.
  • Experience with prime contractors or government entities
  • CubeSat or rideshare mission integration experience
  • Proficiency with space communications protocols (CCSDS, S-band, X-band)

Responsibilities

  • Define end-to-end mission architecture for large complex mission sets including spacecraft, launch vehicle, ground systems, and operations per customer requirements.
  • Lead space vehicle I&T planning and execution including payload integration and launch vehicle integration.
  • Lead development and integration of customer mission capabilities into Apex architecture.
  • Perform mission analysis trades including orbital mechanics and trajectory planning.
  • Serve as primary technical liaison between internal teams and customers on key programs.
  • Lead coupled loads, thermal, and EMC assessments for mission assurance.
  • Generate and maintain mission-specific technical budgets (power, mass, data, pointing).
  • Travel to launch sites to lead payload integration and system checkouts.
