EVONA in the United States is seeking a Senior Mechanisms Engineer to lead the development, assembly, integration, and testing (AI&T) of advanced space-flight mechanisms for deployment systems on orbital platforms. You will collaborate across design, production, and test teams to drive performance, reliability, and manufacturability.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years in aerospace or high-reliability engineering environments.
  • Strong background in mechanism development and testing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead iterative mechanism design improvements based on test data and production feedback.
  • Define, plan, and execute qualification and acceptance testing (vibration, shock, TVAC, assembly).
  • Conduct system-level trade studies to optimise AI&T workflows and production efficiency.
  • Provide technical leadership to improve manufacturing processes, cost, and product quality.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Support production teams and mentor junior engineers.
