Job summary

Anduril Industries in the United States is seeking a Staff Systems Architect for the Imaging team to own the electronics architecture for space-bound payloads and drive design from concept through flight.

You will define electrical architecture, make build-versus-buy and rad-hard tradeoffs, and stay hands-on to lay out, bring up, and qualify hardware. You will mentor engineers and guide fast design-build-test cycles to achieve flight-ready designs.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of electrical engineering experience including system-level architecture and hands-on test.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Ownership of electronics architecture for complex sensor systems including tradeoffs.
• Strong analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics design experience.
• Proven end-to-end hardware development from architecture to bring-up and qualification.
• Ability to work under schedule pressure and make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical architecture for imaging payloads and define system partitioning.
• Lead design, layout, bring-up, and qualification of PCBAs for EO/IR sensor systems.
• Translate performance models into electrical requirements and challenge non-critical requirements.
• Drive rapid design-build-test cycles to deliver flight-ready hardware within 12 months.
• Design for space environment, including radiation, thermal extremes, vacuum, vibration, and launch loads.
• Incorporate DFM/DFA from the schematic stage to enable low-rate production.
• Lead board bring-up, integration, and troubleshooting in lab and environmental tests.
• Collaborate with firmware, optics, mechanical, systems, and program teams to accelerate integration.
• Mentor engineers and participate in design reviews as an electronics scope anchor.
• Document architectures, designs, analyses, and test results for flight readiness.
