Job summary

Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) in North Logan, UT is seeking a seasoned CAD designer to produce 3D solid models and production drawings for space hardware and ground support equipment.

The role involves collaborating with engineering teams to meet schedule, cost, and design requirements, using NX CAD and Teamcenter PLM in a defense/aerospace context. A U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD clearance is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 10+ years of professional experience with 3D CAD software.
• Applied math skills and ability to use analytical formulas.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Preferred: Top Secret clearance; Bachelor's degree; 10+ years of NX CAD with Teamcenter PLM; GD&T and tolerance analysis knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Performs detailed CAD design for space hardware and ground support equipment.
• Generates fabrication and assembly drawings, including tolerancing.
• Collaborates with engineering teams to meet schedule, cost, and design requirements.
