K2 Space in Torrance, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for our Ground Software team. You will build software used to assemble, test, and fly satellites and customer payloads, extending the Gravitas platform as we scale to multiple constellations.

You will collaborate with Mission Operators and Flight Software engineers to define architecture, work across Rust backend and TypeScript/Vue frontend, and partner with customers to scope and deliver software that meets payload needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years of professional software development experience

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software to build, test, and operate satellites and payloads
• Collaborate with Mission Operators and Engineers to scope software solutions
• Support architecture decisions, code reviews, and integration across the stack
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to a strong engineering culture
