Job summary

K2 Space Corporation is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Ground Software team to develop software used to build, test, and fly satellites and customer payloads. You will expand the mission software platform for Gravitas and collaborate with Mission Operations and Flight Software teams to define the overall architecture.

You will work on satellite command and control, mission automation, and ground operations, with a tech stack that includes Rust backend and TypeScript/Vue frontend.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, math, or a STEM discipline.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software for build, test, and operations of K2's vehicles and payloads.
• Collaborate with Mission Operators and Engineers to scope software solutions for complex problems.
• Facilitate design reviews, architecture discussions, and code reviews to align stakeholders on direction.
• Work across Rust backend and TypeScript/Vue frontend to support milestones.
• Provide on-call support for ground test activities and on-orbit operations.
• Mentor engineers to build strong software practices and team culture.
