Job summary

K2 Space is hiring a Software Engineer for the Ground Software team. You will contribute to software that builds, tests, and flies satellites, collaborating with Mission Operators and Flight Software teams to define architecture and deliver payload solutions.

You will work across Rust backend and TypeScript/Vue frontend, participate in on-call activities, and mentor peers to raise engineering practices. This is an on-site role at our Torrance, CA headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, math, or a STEM discipline, or 3+ years of software engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software to build, test, and operate K2's vehicles and payloads.
• Collaborate with Mission Operators and Engineers to scope software solutions.
• Lead design reviews, architecture discussions, and code reviews to align stakeholders.
