Job summary

Sierra Space in Centennial and Louisville, CO seeks a Sr Systems Integration Engineer- Mechanical to lead the integration of mechanical subsystems for spaceflight hardware. You will oversee design, validation, and verification across mass, interfaces, and environmental margins, coordinating with payloads, subsystems, and the bus to ensure a cohesive system.

You will drive mechanical architecture decisions, manage MICDs, and support production and flight test.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 10+ years of related experience.
• Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance required.
• Knowledge of systems engineering lifecycle and integration processes.
• Experience with MBSE tools (DOORS, CAMEO EA, Rhapsody) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive systems engineering across the program lifecycle.
• Lead cross-functional engineering teams to ensure cohesive system integration.
• Advise on system-level impacts, risks, and architecture decisions.
• Manage physical interfaces and ensure MICDs stay current and accurate.
• Lead mechanical test planning and support AI&T for mechanical nonconformances.
