Job summary

SEAKR Engineering in Centennial, CO, seeks a Senior Space Electronics Systems Engineer to lead the design, development, testing, and qualification of mission‑critical electronics for space products.

Collaborate across hardware, firmware, mechanical, power, and software teams to deliver radiation‑tolerant, reliable avionics. Hybrid role with 3 days onsite, 2 days remote depending on program cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s (or Master’s) in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of systems engineering experience in space, or 4+ years in a senior/lead role.
• Deep knowledge of digital and analog electronics design; proficiency with RME tools; radiation testing experience.
• Firmware/software integration for embedded microcontrollers/FPGA; design for reliability.
• Experience designing and executing electrical, EMI/EMC, thermal vacuum, vibration, and functional test plans.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities; team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and validate avionics, payload electronics, and power‑distribution system architecture.
• Select components (COTS/rad‑hard) to meet mission specifications and reliability needs.
• Oversee prototype build, assembly, and production‑grade manufacturing.
• Design and execute system‑level test plans (electrical, EMI/EMC, vibration, thermal).
• Define and maintain ICDs/EIDs; coordinate cross‑functional interface resolution.
• Produce design specs, test procedures, and operational manuals; maintain knowledge base.
• Communicate mission needs as SEAKR representative in reviews and delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews.
