Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks an experienced Project Engineer - Systems Engineering to support U.S. Space Force programs, leading multi‑disciplinary teams in space EW efforts.

You will analyze requirements, guide acquisition activities, and provide technical direction across Mission Delta 3 with a focus on cost, schedule, and performance. Preferred candidates hold a TS/SCI clearance and 8+ years in NSS or defense systems engineering, with a Bachelor’s in a STEM field and willingness to travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related STEM field, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of progressive professional experience in NSS or other defense systems engineering roles
• Experience in DoD acquisition activities across space and ground systems
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 25%
• Current and active TS/SCI security clearance with eligibility for SAP access, U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Shape the future of space electromagnetic warfare by guiding technical and acquisition activities
• Perform systems analysis and engineering assessments to identify risks and gaps
• Apply systems engineering approaches to evaluate requirements and acquisition execution
• Develop processes for dynamic sustainment of SEW assets
• Collaborate with stakeholders to influence program roadmaps and technical artifacts
• Mentor team members and provide technical direction across Mission Delta 3 systems
• Communicate plans and updates to government leadership and Aerospace management
