Job summary

Nextpower LLC, a leader in integrated clean energy technology, seeks a Manager, Internal Control to lead SOX and internal controls across business processes. You will manage a team, partner with Finance, IT, Operations, Legal, and external auditors to design and test controls and drive remediation.

The role emphasizes risk assessment, control design, walkthroughs, and documentation, with accountability for timelines and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in accounting, audit, SOX, or internal controls.
• Experience directly managing or leading employees.
• Knowledge of SOX 404, COSO, PCAOB, and US GAAP.
• Ability to analyze complex information and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of internal controls professionals.
• Plan and allocate team capacity against monthly operating plans.
• Oversee SOX risk assessments, planning, and readiness activities.
• Evaluate and remediate control deficiencies and coordinate with auditors.
• Maintain SOX documentation and evidence of control performance.
• Guide process owners to design practical controls addressing risk.
