Job summary

Driven Brands in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Senior, SOX Compliance to join the second line. You will support remediation, document control evidence, and coordinate with Finance, IT, and External Audit to ensure a strong control environment.

The role requires 3+ years in SOX or internal controls, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced remediation setting. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities to influence process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in SOX, internal controls, internal audit, external audit, risk advisory, accounting, or compliance.
• Working knowledge of SOX 404, COSO, ICFR documentation, control testing concepts, deficiency remediation, and audit evidence standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain SOX requirements clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own SOX remediation activities by maintaining issue trackers and following up on action items.
• Review control evidence for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with documentation.
• Update process-level SOX documentation including narratives, matrices, and flowcharts.
• Prepare control owners for walkthroughs, evidence submissions, and quarterly certifications.
• Coordinate evidence requests and status updates across Finance, IT, Internal Audit, and external auditors.
• Prepare supporting schedules and inputs for SOX reporting packages and dashboards.
• Identify opportunities to simplify control execution and improve repeatability.
