Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a Senior Statement of Work Specialist to perform advanced technical writing for procurement documents and SOW development. The role involves collaborating with program staff, legal counsel, and IT to ensure clear, measurable requirements.

You will develop templates, templates, and guidance to promote consistency across HHSC procurements, under minimal supervision, with a focus on quality and accuracy in complex contracts.

Qualifications

• Requires ability to write and edit complex procurement documents clearly and accurately.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical audiences.
• Ability to translate program needs into measurable requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise Statements of Work (SOWs) for HHSC procurements.
• Review SOWs for clarity, completeness, and measurability; coordinate with stakeholders.
• Create and maintain SOW standards, templates, and training materials.
