Job summary

Snowbasin is seeking a Sous Chef to work with the Chef de Cuisine and the Food & Beverage Director to meet daily operational needs of the outlet culinary and BOH teams. You will ensure safe operation of kitchen equipment, prepare recipes, maintain station pars, sanitation, and cleanliness in line with health codes.

The role requires strong English communication, physical stamina, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Flexible hours including weekends are required, with shifts from 5am to 2am.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, kneeling, and standing for long periods.
• Flexible hours including weekends and holidays (5am–2am schedule).
• Ability to travel to Snowbasin for scheduled shifts.
• Maintain sanitation procedures and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Chef de Cuisine, Executive Chef, and F&B Director to meet daily operational needs.
• Enforce all Snowbasin policies and expectations set by leadership.
• Serve as the primary Manager on Duty in the absence of the Chef de Cuisine.
• Lead trainings and coach subordinate staff to uphold quality and profitability.
• Assist with ordering functions and ensure product quality and portion control.
