Job summary

Bluewater Battery Logistics is seeking a Senior Sourcing Specialist to drive procurement of renewable energy equipment, with a focus on solar panels and site solutions. You will own the full purchase cycle, build supplier relationships, and negotiate favorable terms to support rapid growth.

The role requires 3-5+ years in procurement, strong analytical skills, and the ability to travel for industry events. This in-person, full-time position offers a competitive compensation package and health

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years in procurement, supply chain, or strategic sourcing in a B2B environment
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Proven experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating supply agreements
• Strong analytical skills with ability to evaluate market data, pricing and inventory trends
• Familiarity with CRM tools and proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized, proactive and able to make independent decisions
• Travel for trade shows, vendor visits and industry events is a plus

• Collaborate with sales and ops to anticipate project needs and ensure supply readiness.
• Represent Bluewater at conferences, trade shows, and supplier meetings

Job Description:

Bluewater is looking to bring on a Senior Sourcing Specialist to contribute to growing the sourcing and acquisition of Renewable Energy equipment at Bluewater, with a focus on sourcing solar panels and identifying site solutions. In this role, you'll take ownership of identifying supply opportunities, building and managing supplier relationships, and negotiating commercial terms. You'll work closely with sales and leadership teams to align sourcing strategy with market demand, and play a key role in expanding this business unit.

The role is well suited for a self-motivated, commercially minded person who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable owning the full purchase cycle.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, source, and qualify new surplus equipment opportunities across the supply chain, through outbound outreach to asset owners, developers, EPCs, and other potential suppliers to generate leads

Own and manage the full purchase cycle from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and closing

Build and manage long-term supplier relationships, working with suppliers to understand their unique pain points and creatively outline solutions

Negotiate pricing, terms, and purchase agreements to secure favorable outcomes for both the Company and its partners

Draft, review, and issue purchase orders to ensure accuracy and alignment with negotiated terms

Build and maintain a pipeline of sourcing opportunities, tracking pricing, product availability, and deal progress within CRM systems

Work closely with sales and operations teams to anticipate project needs and ensure supply readiness

Represent Bluewater at conferences, trade shows, and supplier meetings

Qualifications:

3-5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or strategic sourcing in a B2B environment

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Proven experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating supply agreements

Strong analytical skills with an ability to evaluate market data, pricing, and inventory trends

Familiarity with CRM tools and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable making independent decisions

Experience with cold outreach and vendor onboarding is a plus

Willingness to travel for trade shows, vendor visits, and other industry events
