Job summary

Oura is seeking a Senior Sourcing Manager to lead mechanical sourcing and supplier management across hardware programs. You will shape sourcing strategies for high-volume production readiness, scale suppliers, and optimize cost/performance while supporting rapid development cycles and NPI execution.

This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in our San Francisco office. You will negotiate end-to-end terms, align engineering requirements with manufacturing capability, and manage supplier

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in consumer electronics and/or supply chain with mechanical sourcing and supplier management.
• Experience sourcing mechanical components such as CNC, injection molding, stamping, MIM, and surface finishing.
• Ability to lead complex programs with competing priorities and tight timelines.
• Proven negotiation skills across unit cost, tooling/NRE, contracts, and supply agreements.
• Experience supporting NPI builds through ramp to mass production.
• Strong analytical skills including cost modeling and data-driven supplier evaluation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with cross-functional influence.
• Willingness to travel ~25% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical sourcing for NPI and sustaining programs, including supplier selection and award recommendations across key commodities.
• Drive end-to-end negotiations including pricing, tooling/NRE, payment terms, lead times, capacity commitments, and E&O/liability.
• Partner with Engineering to align design requirements with supplier capabilities and risk mitigation.
• Lead supplier onboarding including capability assessments, audits, and qualification plans.
• Establish and manage supplier performance through KPIs and business reviews.
• Build should-cost models for mechanical parts/assemblies and benchmark for negotiation support.
• Own mechanical supply continuity planning including dual sourcing and geographic risk.
• Collaborate with Ops/CM to support prototypes, ramp, and mass production.
• Support PO placement for proto/MP and resolve issues during builds.
• Improve sourcing processes with scalable templates and governance.

We are looking for a Senior Sourcing Manager to lead strategic sourcing and supplier management for mechanical components and assemblies across Oura’s hardware programs. This role requires strong cross-functional partnership with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Legal, as well as direct engagement with key mechanical suppliers. You will be accountable for building sourcing strategies that enable high-volume production readiness, supplier scalability, and cost/performance optimization—while supporting rapid development cycles and NPI execution.

What you will do

• Lead mechanical sourcing for NPI and sustaining programs, including supplier selection, RFx execution, and award recommendations across key commodities (enclosures, stamped parts, CNC, injection molded parts, die cuts, soft goods)
• Drive end-to-end commercial negotiations, including pricing, tooling/NRE, payment terms, lead times, capacity commitments, and E&O/liability
• Partner with Engineering to align design requirements with supplier manufacturing capability, DFM feedback, and risk mitigation
• Lead supplier onboarding including capability assessments, audits, qualification plans, and readiness reviews
• Establish and manage supplier performance through KPIs (quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness) and structured business reviews (QBRs/MBRs)
• Build and maintain should-cost models for mechanical parts/assemblies and drive benchmarking to support negotiation strategy
• Own mechanical supply continuity planning including dual sourcing strategy, geographic risk, capacity constraints, and contingency plans
• Collaborate with Ops/CM partners to ensure mechanical supply supports prototype builds, ramp readiness, and mass production
• Support execution activities such as PO placement for proto/MP, supplier schedule alignment, and issue resolution during builds
• Improve sourcing processes by implementing scalable working practices, templates, and supplier governance

Requirements

We would love to have you on our team if you have:

• 7+ years of experience in consumer electronics and/or supply chain, including mechanical sourcing and supplier management
• Strong experience sourcing mechanical components such as CNC, injection molding, stamping, MIM, and surface finishing
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex programs with competing priorities and tight timelines
• Proven negotiation skills across unit cost, tooling/NRE, contracts, and supply agreements
• Experience supporting NPI builds (EVT/DVT/PVT or equivalent) through ramp and mass production
• Strong analytical skills including cost modeling, data-driven supplier evaluation, and scenario planning
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence cross-functionally
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and driving structure across multiple work streams
• Ability to travel ~25% domestically and internationally

Compensation
Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. Successful candidates’ pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions.

• San Francisco Salary Range: $172,550 - $203,000
