Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Product Sourcing Engineer, Counter Intrusion, to shape sourcing strategy for complex aerospace and defense products. The role emphasizes cost, quality, and manufacturability while collaborating with Quality, Manufacturing, and programs teams to accelerate development and reduce supply chain risk.

The position blends technical sourcing with value engineering, supplier development, and NPI support, offering remote work for US-based candidates and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field.
• 6+ years of experience in sourcing engineering or supplier development.
• Expertise in value engineering, procurement engineering, or TCO at the component and product level.
• Willingness to travel 30% to 40% based on program needs.
• Preference for onsite work at the office, but remote work in Washington is available.

Responsibilities

• Conduct supplier selection using the approved supplier list
• Partner with suppliers to accelerate product development through concept scoping and feature trade-offs
• Drive the development of a manufacturing BOM in collaboration with Quality and Manufacturing
• Manage CAPEX throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) process
• Conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time
• Complete BOM risk assessments and ensure component qualifications
• Lead cost engineering activities to maximize total cost of ownership (TCO)
