Job summary

Milwaukee Area Client is seeking a Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst (Sr. Buyer) to lead sourcing activities for new product development and existing products within assigned commodities.

You will independently develop and drive category/subcategory, supplier strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams under the Director of Sourcing. The role focuses on cost reduction, supplier optimization, and managing substantial commodity spend while advancing supplier relationships and NPD

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing.
• Expertise in strategic sourcing and commodity management.
• Exposure to castings, metal fabrication, hydraulics, drivetrains, engines, or plastics.
• Working knowledge of master supplier agreements and cost breakdown methodologies.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel 20%–30%.

Responsibilities

• Drive cost reduction initiatives and optimize supplier relationships.
• Manage $30–$50 million commodity spend and develop sourcing strategies.
• Lead negotiations and execute master supplier agreements.
• Analyze purchase volumes to drive supplier consolidation and cost reduction.
• Lead supplier selection for Global and Regional strategies for current products and NPD components.
• Mentor and coach new Sourcing team members.
