Job Description

Want to work with a world class team that is committed to changing the face of the entertainment industry? Join us in building an environment where creatives of all backgrounds can thrive and bring unique and compelling stories to market.

Brass Lion Entertainment is seeking a Senior Sound Designer to join our team currently working on a new, unannounced Action-Role Playing Game (Consoles, PC) with an anime art style.

At Brass Lion, audio is at the core of our games’ aesthetics and a critical part of the gameplay. We encourage our sound designers to lean into the second word in their title, collaborating with the team to craft the player experience, rather than simply making it sound great. If you are looking to push the boundaries of who games are for, and to grow as a sound designer and as a game developer, then please consider joining us.

A POC-majority studio, Brass Lion is propelled by an inclusive culture and a diverse workforce that fosters collaboration and communication. We have adapted to a fully remote working structure, with our team members contributing from New York City, Montréal, and sixteen other locations across Canada and the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Audio Director and the audio team to create and realize the game’s core sound design voice and vision.
  • Create and implement sound effects using Unreal Engine Blueprint and Wwise.
  • Source original recordings through a combination of field recording, foley, and synthesis.
  • Help to grow and develop the collaborative culture of the Brass Lion audio team.
  • Work with all disciplines to surface and meet audio needs across the project.
  • Participate in defining our use of audio as a core game feature.
  • Help to build a studio culture focused on open feedback and cross-disciplinary inclusion.

Required Qualifications

  • Professional game audio experience with at least one large scale project or multiple indie projects shipped.
  • Experience with audio implementation and system design.
  • Unreal and/or Wwise Experience a plus.
  • Located and authorized for work in the US or Canada.

As a part of the application process, you will be expected to provide a portfolio and/or demo reel of your work.

Skills and Attributes

  • An excellent collaborator who is comfortable advocating for audio, as well as giving and receiving feedback across multiple disciplines.
  • A curious mind and a willingness to learn and grow.

What We Offer

  • 100% remote work model
  • Comprehensive and generous benefits package (dental, vision, life insurance, extended health care, telemedicine, mental health and wellness)
  • 401(k), paid holidays and vacation, flexible sick day policy, compassion and bereavement leaves, parental leave

Note: Only candidates who are located in and authorized to work in Canada and the United States will be contacted for an interview.

Salary Transparency: The standard base pay range for this role is CDN$100,000 - CDN$130,000 Annual (USD$90,000 - USD$120,000). Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.
