Job summary

OU Health is seeking a Sonographer II to provide specialized imaging services across outpatient and inpatient settings. You will perform diagnostic ultrasound, facilitate safe, high‑quality testing, and collaborate with Providers to support patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an ARDMS/ARRT/CCI‑accredited program.
• 3–5 years of sonography experience required.
• Current BLS from AHA and one ARDMS/ARRT credential on hire.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes advanced skill set to perform diagnostic imaging under limited supervision.
• Ensures testing meets high quality standards with patient‑centred care.
• Prepares patients and reviews clinical history for tests.
• Transfers images/data to the electronic health system and prepares studies for physician reporting.
• Serves as departmental preceptor to mentor new team members and support onboarding.
• Supports teaching of students in OU Health radiologic programs.
• Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement tasks.
