Dignity Health - Marian Regional Medical Center in Santa Maria, CA is seeking a Sonographer to record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and unborn fetuses using advanced ultrasound equipment, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Entry level for RDMS 0-3 years experience
American Heart Association BLS-CPR, within 30 Days and

Responsibilities

Clinical Competency: Performs diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound procedures in accordance with department standards, and in keeping with the orders of the referring physician.
Operates all ultrasound equipment, computers, and accessories.
Demonstrates competency in film-processing procedures. Identifies and initiates accurate assessment of life-threatening conditions.
Troubleshoots equipment and cooperates with service personnel in order to maintain minimal down time.
Initiates service calls on all equipment assigned to the area.Charges exams and supplies on a daily basis when work is completed.
Patient Care: Interviews patients for pertinent medical history and obtains consents on patients prior to performing studies as required
Department Support; Participates in departmental meetings, in-services, and committees. Orders and maintains supplies at an acceptable.
Safety; Uses sterile technique and prevents cross-contamination.
Compliance with Policy and Procedures: Complies with safety, infection control, CHW Integrity Program, and other organizational policies. (90 day evals - department specific orientation checklists completed; annual evals - annual competency checklists completed) Complies with the organization's dress code. Arrives at work on time, as defined by the Timeliness and Attendance Policy. Attends work consistently, as defined by the Timeliness and Attendance Policy.
