About The Role

Solutions Engineers at Confluent are pivotal in both early-stage evaluation during the sales process and in enabling ongoing value realization for customers. They work closely with Account Executives to serve as technical advisors, uncovering business needs and designing technical solutions. They facilitate discussions on innovative data streaming use cases, drive technical proofs of concept, and help customers adopt new patterns confidently, overcoming technical challenges. They are a key part of the Customer Success Team, fostering customer success and promoting adoption of Confluent’s technologies.

What You Will Do
  • Advance new & innovative Data Streaming use-cases from conception to Go-Live
  • Lead Technical Proofs of Concept
  • Conduct Discovery & Whiteboard Sessions to develop new use-cases
  • Deliver Technical Talks and Workshops to provide Thought Leadership
  • Guide customers with hands-on help and best practices to enhance operational maturity
  • Analyze customer consumption trends and identify optimization opportunities
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams, advocating for the product across various ecosystems
  • Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders as a dependable partner
What You Will Bring
  • 5+ years of Solutions Engineering or similar experience
  • Experience with Event-Driven architecture, Data Integration & Processing, Database & Data Warehouse technologies
  • Exposure to Cloud Architecture, Migrations, Deployment, and Application Development
  • Experience with Automation, GitOps, and Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in Java, Python, or SQL
  • Technical certifications such as Cloud Developer/Architect, Data Engineering & Integration
  • Self-starter attitude, eagerness to learn, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, comfortable presenting to diverse audiences including executives
