Job summary

National Vision, Inc. is seeking a Senior Solutions Owner for Retail Applications Engineering to lead delivery and coordination of store and platform transformation initiatives. You will own execution across multiple systems and teams, balancing near-term delivery with long-term architectural goals.

The role requires strong executive communication, SDLC/DevOps familiarity, and hands-on experience guiding cross-functional teams through complex, regulated environments in a retail context.

Qualifications

• Four year college degree or equivalent experience.
• Business Administration, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Software Engineering (Required)
• 7+ years Project or Program Management for enterprise platforms (Required)
• 2-4 years delivering complex, cross-team initiatives (Required)
• Familiarity with SDLC, DevOps pipelines, and QA for automation and quality (Required)
• Experience with API-driven or headless architectures (Preferred)
• Retail/store systems or omnichannel experience (Preferred)
• Experience operating in regulated environments (PCI, HIPAA) (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Drives alignment across product, engineering, design, and business stakeholders.
• Manages timelines, dependencies, and risk across workstreams.
• Partners with Business Analyst to ensure requirements are clear and sequenced appropriately.
• Clearly presents trade-offs and risks, ensuring governance is in place to prevent duplicate or throw-away work.
• Ensures the project's technical documents are thorough, signed off on by the stakeholders, and maintained throughout the project.

Job Responsibilities

The Senior Solutions Owner leads delivery and coordination for critical store and platform transformation initiatives. Owns execution across multiple systems and teams while balancing near-term delivery commitments with long-term architectural goals.

Work Experience

• 7+ years Project or Program Management for enterprise platforms (Required)
• 2-4 years Delivers complex, cross-team initiatives, balancing delivery speed with long-term direction (Required)

Licenses, Certifications, Professional Affiliations

• Agile certifications such as CSM, PSM, SAFe, or PMI-ACP. (Preferred)
• PMP or comparable project/program management certification. (Preferred)
• Product management, DevOps, cloud, SRE/observability, release management, secure SDLC, accessibility, PCI, privacy, or HIPAA training. (Preferred)
