Job summary

National Vision Inc. is seeking a Solutions Owner for Data & Analytics to lead end-to-end technology and data initiatives that drive measurable business value. You will partner with business and technical teams to define priorities, manage delivery, ensure quality, and enable data-driven outcomes.

You will oversee projects from intake through implementation and adoption, coordinating governance, security, and compliance while delivering dashboards, data pipelines, APIs, and analytics solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 4+ years delivering technology or data solutions (product, project, program management, analytics).
• Experience leading analytics, reporting, data integration, governance, and data product initiatives.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.

Job Description

The IT Solution Owner leads the delivery and ongoing success of technology and data solutions that support business goals. This role partners with business and technical teams to define priorities, manage delivery, ensure quality, and drive measurable outcomes. The Solution Owner oversees projects from intake and planning through implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technology and data initiatives from concept through delivery and value realization.
• Act as the primary liaison between business, product, engineering, architecture, security, and vendor teams.
• Manage project scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, budgets, and stakeholder communications.
• Coordinate requirements, testing, releases, training, and operational readiness activities.
• Partner with business and technical leaders to prioritize work and align solutions with company standards.
• Drive quality, governance, documentation, and continuous improvement across projects.
• Support the delivery of data products including dashboards, reporting, data pipelines, APIs, analytics solutions, and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Ensure data governance, security, privacy, and compliance requirements are met.

This role requires strong leadership, communication, and project delivery skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and successfully deliver business and data-driven solutions.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data & Analytics, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

• 4+ years of experience delivering technology or data solutions, including product, project, or program management, business analysis, analytics, or data platforms.
• Experience leading analytics, reporting, data integration, governance, and data product initiatives through the full delivery lifecycle.
• Experience applying Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery approaches.
• Ability to translate business needs, metrics, and decision‑making requirements into data solutions and prioritized delivery plans.

Skills & Knowledge

• End-to-end technology and data delivery across software, platforms, integrations, testing, and implementations.
• Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process mapping, user stories, acceptance criteria, and stakeholder facilitation.
• Knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), Waterfall, hybrid delivery models, and product teams.
• Project management expertise including scope, schedules, budgets, forecasting, risk management (RAID), change control, vendor coordination, and executive reporting.
• Understanding of SDLC, architecture, security, compliance, testing, release management, operational readiness, and value realization.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex topics and drive decisions.
• Proficiency with ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft 365, or similar tools.
• Ability to lead through influence, navigate ambiguity, balance competing priorities, and foster collaboration.
• Knowledge of data pipelines, data models, semantic layers, dashboards, APIs, data quality, metadata, security, cloud data platforms, and analytics solutions.
• Experience with data product management, roadmaps, KPIs, adoption, lifecycle management, and value realization.
• Ability to align business metrics, definitions, and reporting across multiple stakeholders and data sources.
• Experience with Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Databricks, Synapse, or comparable modern data platforms.
• Basic SQL skills and the ability to work effectively with data engineers and analysts.

Preferred Certifications

• Agile or Product certifications (CSM, PSM, SAFe, CSPO, PSPO, PMI-ACP).
• PMP or similar project delivery certification.
• Training or certifications in data governance, cloud data platforms, business intelligence, analytics product management, or responsible AI.
