Job summary

Canonical is hiring software engineers to lead and inspire a regional team in delivering open source operations software. The role focuses on Python and Golang development across the Linux stack, with strong emphasis on design, tests, and performance, for cloud, AI, and data workloads.

You will work globally in a distributed team, travel up to 10% for events, and contribute to Ubuntu-related infrastructure and automation that scales for customers and the open source community.

Qualifications

Proficient in Python and Golang for open source software development.
Solid understanding of Linux networking and cloud concepts.
Experience with distributed systems and DevOps workflows.
Strong emphasis on code quality, tests, and documentation.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver open source software operations code in Python and Go.
Work across the Linux stack, from kernel to networking and containers.
Shape high quality monitoring and alerting infrastructure.
Rethink open source operations for customers and community.
Demonstrate solid engineering design and testing practices.
