Job summary

Jobtailor in Arizona is seeking a Solutions Engineer to design complex hosting solutions and present technical concepts to customers with minimal supervision. You will collaborate with sales to respond to customer needs and translate requirements into clear demonstrations and proposals.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in sales engineering or customer-facing roles, 2+ years in data center infrastructure, and strong written and presentation skills for executives and admins.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of experience in sales engineering or customer-facing roles.
• Excellent written and presentation communication skills to articulate complex topics to varying audiences.
• Experience translating customer needs into technical designs and proposals.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to respond to requests for proposals.

• Design complex hosting solutions and corresponding services, working with sales personnel in response to customer needs with minimal supervision
• Present advanced technical concepts in a clear manner to customers through demonstrations, technical review, and design/proposal presentations
• Effectively communicate requirements to technical and non-technical audiences
• Collaborate with operational staff as it relates to initiatives that affect the Solutions Engineering Team
• Respond to functional and technical elements of RFPs

Requirements

• Four or more years of experience in Sales Engineering, preferably focused on managed services and custom designed solutions or applicable customer facing experience
• Two or more years of experience working in data center infrastructure (space, power, connectivity) or equivalent experience
• Experience in hyperscale colocation design is preferred
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
• Excellent written and presentation communication skills with the capacity to articulate complex technical topics to varying customer audiences (administrators to executives)
