Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar discipline.
• 7+ years of software development experience.
• US citizenship and Top Secret/SCI clearance + CI Polygraph.
• Strong Java or Python and Spring/SpringBoot experience.
• Solid SQL and relational data modeling.
• Experience with Neo4j or another property graph database; Cypher a plus.
• Ability to work in a structured contractor environment: Jira, Git, CI, and documentation.
• Ability to travel 5-10% of time for in-person meetings in the NCR.

Responsabilidades

• Work as part of an agile contractor team with the prime, government stakeholders, and other subcontractors under security constraints.
• Attend quarterly planning meetings in person in the NCR.
• Proactively share feedback about Tom Sawyer Software's products to guide future developments.

We are a subcontractor supporting a prime contractor on a large U.S. Government Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) program: Machine-assisted Analytic Rapid-repository System (MARS). Position Description

Tom Sawyer Software is seeking multiple software engineers with strong Java or Python programming experience for the MARS program. The positions require a Top Secret/SCI clearance + CI Polygraph. Remote work in the USA is acceptable, with occasional travel required to work onsite with the prime, government stakeholders, and other subcontractors. This role builds and maintains backend services and data capabilities used by the MARS mission.

• Contribute to AI-assisted analytic features, including grounded retrieval, graph-informed analytics, and ML-adjacent services
• Write tests, participate in code review, and follow DevSecOps practices appropriate to a government program
• Work as part of an agile contractor team with the prime, government stakeholders, and other subcontractors under established processes and security constraints
• Attend quarterly planning meetings in person in the NCR
• Proactively share feedback about Tom Sawyer Software's products based on experiences in the field to help drive the direction of future developments

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar discipline
• Minimum of seven years of software development experience
• U.S. citizenship and Top Secret/SCI clearance + CI Polygraph
• Strong Java or Python and Spring / SpringBoot experience
• Solid SQL and relational data modeling
• Experience with Neo4j or another property graph database, Cypher a plus
• Ability to work in a structured contractor environment: Jira, Git, CI, and documentation
• Ability to travel 5-10% of time to attend in-person quarterly and other meetings as required
• Strong attention to detail with good organizational skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Preferred:

• Prior DoD/IC contractor experience
• AI/ML integration in production systems, including RAG, embeddings, model-serving, and evaluation
• Elasticsearch, knowledge-graph, or object-based intelligence data patterns
• AWS GovCloud or similar, containers, and Kubernetes
• Graph visualization or analytic-application experience
