Job summary

SMX is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of next-generation solutions for DoD clients. This role focuses on driving architecture decisions, guiding development teams, and ensuring high-quality applications and user experiences.

You will lead efforts across capture, growth activities, and proposal development while staying current on industry tools and practices. The position emphasizes technical leadership and collaboration across internal and external teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
At least 10 years in corporate/government solutions environments.
Experience with software life-cycle management, systems engineering, and leadership.
Experience as a Solution Architect with full life-cycle customer implementations.
Experience with Agile, Waterfall, SAFe methodologies.
Experience in architecture design and customer engagement.
Experience with DevSecOps and cloud operations (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to tell technical stories.

Responsibilities

Lead design of solutions to support business functions and client requirements.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to teammates and clients.
Develop go-to-market strategies for software applications and solutions.
