Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus 7+ years of enterprise-grade software development using Java/J2EE in a web-based environment.
• Expert level Java developer experience.
• Experience with Linux (Red Hat).
• Experience with Java Server Faces (JSF)/RichFaces.
• Experience with RESTful web services.
• Experience in Spring Framework.
• Experience in automation of CI/CD pipelines.
• SQL and data modeling with ORM tools such as Hibernate/JPA.
• Architecting and operating cloud solutions.
• Experience with DevOps and DevSecOps approaches.
• Extensive experience in agile environments.
• Experience with Git or other distributed source control systems.
• Knowledge of Federal IT security guidelines and Section 508 accessibility.
• Ability to contribute individually and as part of an agile team.

Responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end application architecture aligned with business goals and enterprise standards.
• Lead architectural reviews and establish best practices for development teams.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies.
• Design integration patterns connecting client apps with cloud back-end systems.
• Build and optimize micro-services, RESTful APIs, and event-driven components.
• Develop and architect micro-frontend apps using modular UI composition or Module Federation.
• Implement authentication and authorization frameworks (OAuth2.0, JWT).
• Develop complex workflow systems leveraging cloud services and distributed architectures.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code and lead code reviews.
• Strong experience with Java, JSF, PrimeFaces, JavaScript, CSS, Perl, and/or Linux shell.
• Experience with DevOps tools (Jira, Confluence, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bash, SVN, JetBrains Tool Suite).
• Integrate applications with cloud storage systems.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Lead cross-functional teams including developers, UI/UX designers, product managers, and QA engineers.
• Provide mentorship and architectural oversight; communicate decisions to stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and governance standards.
