Job summary

Leidos seeks a Solutions Architect SME to lead the Chinook Program for an IC customer. You will serve as senior technical authority, shaping end-to-end architecture across application, cloud, data, security, and infrastructure domains in Alexandria, VA and other listed locations.

The role requires TS/SCI with polygraph, 12+ years in architecture roles, and the ability to translate complex mission requirements into secure, scalable solutions while mentoring teams and guiding DevSecOps practices.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience as a Solutions Architect or equivalent senior technical role.
• Experience designing and implementing complex enterprise or mission-critical applications.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into executable technical solutions.
• Experience with Agile/DevSecOps environments.
• Experience communicating to senior government stakeholders and program leadership.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph preferred; equivalent level per contract.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve end-to-end solution architecture across application, cloud, data, integration, security, and infrastructure domains.
• Translate mission, business, operational, functional, and non-functional requirements into secure, scalable solutions.
• Develop architecture strategies, roadmaps, reference architectures, and design patterns; lead trade studies.
• Provide technical direction to engineering teams and resolve cross-team issues.
• Lead cloud and DevSecOps architecture efforts, including CI/CD, IaC, observability, and disaster recovery.
• Integrate security and mission assurance from the start; risk identification and mitigation.
• Support Agile and SAFe execution through PI Planning and backlog refinement.
• Define and govern integration strategies and API standards across components.
• Communicate architecture decisions and risks to leadership and stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and drive modernization and reduction of technical debt.
