Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Solutions Architect (L5) in the United States (Illinois) to own architecture strategy for customers, guiding production deployments and platform adoption. You will lead complex design reviews, collaborate with data engineers, ML/AI teams, and executives, and help shape product direction while ensuring security and governance across cloud deployments.

Qualifications

6+ years in solutions architecture, data engineering, or senior technical role.
Strong coding in Python and SQL with live coding and debugging ability.
Deep expertise in distributed data systems and lakehouse patterns.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end technical strategy for accounts from discovery to deployment.
Lead complex architecture discussions for scalable, production-grade solutions.
Serve as trusted advisor to customer architects, engineers, and Directors.
Drive technical wins by demonstrating differentiators with custom solutions.
Develop emergent technical specialization (archetype) for your team.
Orchestrate cross-functional resources (DSAs, SSAs, Partners) to deliver solutions.
Influence product direction with feedback on requirements and gaps.
