Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, IS, or a related technical field.
• 8–10 years in software engineering, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure.
• 3+ years in an Architecture or Principal Engineer role.
• Fortune 500 or large enterprise experience.
• Ability translating complex technical risks into clear business language for executives.
• Deep mastery of API management and event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Translate enterprise architecture into team-level implementation patterns.
• Evaluate designs for alignment with standards, scalability, and best practices.
• Define non-functional requirements: availability, reliability, performance, security.
• Identify architectural risks and prescribe mitigations before production.
• Serve as SME in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and integration patterns.
• Review IaC, deployment configurations, and system integrations for resilience.
• Drive adoption of fault tolerance, graceful degradation, circuit breaking, observability.
• Evaluate emerging technologies for alignment with standards and maturity.
• Facilitate architecture reviews and design discussions across teams.
• Translate directives into actionable team requirements.
• Travel overnight.
• Conduct business ethically to serve customers and increase goodwill and profit.
