Berkshire Hathaway Homestate Companies, Workers Compensation Division, seeks an experienced Solutions (Application) Architect 2 to shape and implement reference architectures, shared components, and core frameworks. Focused on web and cloud services using the Microsoft stack, this role links business strategy to IT design while advancing secure, scalable enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities include driving architecture governance, promoting reusable solutions, and guiding DevOps practices

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering and application development.
• 3+ years in enterprise, application, technical, or information architecture.
• Experience with Agile, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Web UI techs and multiple JS frameworks (Angular, React, Node.js).
• Knowledge of microservices, NoSQL, AWS/Azure/GCP and containers.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive Enterprise Architecture strategies and models.
• Promote reusable technology solutions aligned to SDL/SDLC.
• Manage technology roadmap and cloud migration planning.
• Evaluate roadmaps and modernize legacy processes.
• Support secure, scalable, multi-tier application delivery.
