Backbase is seeking a Principal Solutions Architect in the United States (Atlanta, GA) to drive architecture for BankingOS integrations with banks' systems, data and security requirements. You combine architecture expertise with hands-on development and mentor engineers.

You will design agentic banking solutions, build prototypes with AI agents and tools, run architecture workshops, and translate technical decisions into scalable, production-ready solutions for customers.

Formación

• Experience designing complex enterprise architectures for customer-facing projects.
• Practical experience building AI applications and agent workflows with real-world trade-offs.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise integration, APIs, and event-driven systems.
• Engineering background with Java, Spring, IAM, DevOps and cloud platforms.
• Understanding of security, data privacy and regulatory resilience in banking.
• Ability to explain technical decisions to executives and engineers clearly.
• Hands-on approach to testing new technologies and building prototypes.
• Ability to work independently and resolve ambiguous requirements.
• Experience mentoring colleagues and willingness to travel for customer engagements.

Responsabilidades

• Work with bank technology teams to understand requirements and guide architecture decisions.
• Design BankingOS integrations connecting journeys, AI agents, data and systems via APIs/events.
• Define how AI agents use data and tools, including permissions and testing controls.
• Address AI limitations, assess reliability and privacy, and define necessary controls.
• Build and test prototypes with AI agents, knowledge retrieval, tools and integrations.
• Plan for production: performance, security, reliability, cost and documentation (DSD).
• Lead technical evaluations: architecture workshops, assessments and RFP responses.
• Share knowledge through demos, reusable components and architecture patterns.
• Contribute customer feedback to product development to improve BankingOS.
