Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Data Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with a strong command of modern data architecture, capable of designing, optimizing, and managing complex data ecosystems. This role requires both strategic architecture design and practical implementation—someone who can seamlessly shift between high-level planning and hands-on troubleshooting.

You’ll play a critical role in shaping the data architecture roadmap, driving best practices across data integration, transformation, and analytics, and enabling advanced AI-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure data architecture solutions for the SSA project.
  • Lead the implementation and optimization of data pipelines using Airflow, dbt, and Python.
  • Architect and manage data warehouses and analytics environments in Snowflake and Azure Synapse.
  • Build and optimize data integration workflows using Azure Data Factory and other Azure data services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and execute a data architecture roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance across all systems and pipelines.
  • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to development and analytics teams.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data issues quickly, ensuring system reliability and uptime.
  • Drive performance optimization for data storage, retrieval, and visualization.
  • Leverage AI and machine learning capabilities to enhance analytics and decision-making.
  • Develop and publish standards, best practices, and documentation for the data architecture environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or business intelligence roles.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with:
  • Power BI (data modeling, visualization, and performance tuning)
  • Snowflake (data warehousing, schema design, optimization)
  • Airflow, dbt, and Python (ETL orchestration and automation)
  • MS SQL Server (database design, T-SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning)
  • Azure Data ServicesAzure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and related cloud tools
  • Proven experience designing and managing data architectures in cloud environments (Azure preferred).
  • Strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts and how they integrate into modern data platforms.
  • Ability to identify architectural gaps and implement improvements proactively.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.
  • Must be hands-on and comfortable troubleshooting and resolving issues in real time.
  • Self-driven, organized, and capable of driving projects independently in a remote environment.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in public sector or large-scale enterprise projects.
  • Knowledge of data governance, lineage, and metadata management tools.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD for data workflows, and data security best practices.
  • Certifications in Azure Data, Snowflake, or related cloud technologies are a plus
