Job summary

Ignite IT seeks a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Solution & Systems Integration Architect to own end-to-end solution architecture for a large federal modernization program. The role translates mission requirements into secure, scalable designs and carries them through review, implementation, and transition.

This hands-on architecture role expects real architecture views and artifacts and requires U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of IT experience with architecture leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated architecture experience across at least three domains (application, integration, data, cloud/platform, network, cybersecurity, endpoint/mobility, ITSM, or operations).
• Experience with interfaces/APIs, dependencies, nonfunctional requirements, security and operational constraints, and implementation readiness.

Responsibilities

• Translate mission and business requirements into secure, scalable architectures and baselines.
• Develop and review architecture views (context, logical, physical, component, interface, deployment, integration).
• Lead or participate in architecture compliance and design reviews; conduct trade studies.
• Identify risks early in the design process and flag dependencies before delivery.
• Coordinate across platform, network, security, data, mobility, and ITSM teams to align architecture with delivery.
• Ensure designs comply with enterprise standards, governance and compliance; support rationalization and modernization.
