Job summary

Ignite IT is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Requirements Engineer to support a large-scale federal modernization program. The role defines, elicits, validates, and manages functional, technical, operational, security, and performance requirements end-to-end. This is a hands-on role with real elicitation sessions and traceable artifacts.

Based out of Washington, DC, this hybrid position requires U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in requirements engineering or related field.
• Experience on federal or complex enterprise programs.
• Ability to elicit and document multiple requirement types.
• Hands-on requirements traceability and baselining.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements elicitation sessions with stakeholders and teams.
• Develop traceability baselines from discovery through operations.
• Analyze proposed changes and document impacts to architecture and schedule.
• Collaborate across project teams to resolve conflicts and gaps.
• Mentor other engineers and represent requirements management in governance forums.
