Job summary

Nucor Corporation is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer in Dallas, TX, to design, build, and scale software solutions for the Bar and Engineered Bar Mill Group. You will partner with stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable applications across cloud, data, and integrations.

You will lead engineering standards, mentor teammates, and apply AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery while ensuring compliance and high-quality code. This full-time role prioritizes safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deliver complex software solutions from concept through production.
Lead integration efforts between team applications and Nucor enterprise systems.
Establish engineering best practices across application development, cloud infrastructure, integrations, and data.
Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery speed and software quality.
Maintain high standards for architecture, testing, code quality, and documentation.
Serve as a technical advisor and backup to the Team Lead.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and support team growth through hiring and onboarding.
Ensure adherence to enterprise security, compliance, and data protection standards.
