What You Will Do
Role Purpose
The Sr. Solution Architect strategically designs and implements medium, complex, and highly complex technology solutions that meet business requirements, fully aligned with enterprise and domain architecture guidelines.
Functional Responsibilities
- Proficient in producing architectures and designs involving new design patterns for moderate to high technological and business complexity.
- Provides end-to-end architecture for projects to ensure detailed design and development align with overall enterprise architecture.
- Leads and advises on architect-initiated quality projects (e.g., scalability, maintainability, security, extensibility) to ensure successful implementation.
- Identifies issues between architecture and vendor solutions, formulates solutions, and develops migration strategies.
- Offers expertise in technical knowledge, methodology, data integration, enterprise architecture, and software development.
- Possesses strong communication and presentation skills suitable for technical audiences.
- Defines strategies for networking, server platforms, desktop services, and security to support technical environments.
- Leads planning review sessions with local IT project managers.

- Maintains updated knowledge of information systems elements.
- Resolves escalated problems, identifies root causes, and determines customer needs.
- Collaborates with technical experts and integrates new systems.
- Identifies opportunities to meet client needs through technology.
- Foundational Architecture Knowledge
- Understands and applies system architecture standards and the TOGAF framework.
- Provides guidance on standards and guidelines for development teams.
- Researches and assesses new architectural components and trends.
- System Development Life Cycle Knowledge
- Applies SDLC phases knowledge, manages project transitions, and suggests improvements.
- Systems Thinking
- Plans for impacts across architecture components and business processes, conducting risk evaluations.
- Innovation
- Enhances organizational performance through innovative thinking, exploring new ideas, and involving stakeholders.
Complexity of Work
- Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and minimal supervision; capable of working under stress.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience preferred.
- 2+ years of leadership or management experience required; 5+ years preferred.
- Experience with pharmacy architecture (Epic Willow, Pharmacy applications, etc.) is preferred.
What You Will Need
Education:
- High School diploma with 5 years of applicable experience and 2 in leadership, OR
- Associate's/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable experience and 2 in leadership.
