Job description

Leidos National Security Sector's Office of Technology is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to support our Decision Advantage Business Area. In this role, you will drive innovative solutions addressing rapidly evolving threats and customer needs in the DoD and mission partner capabilities arena. This role will focus on developing and integrating advanced, modern capabilities across Mission Command including areas such as cyber technology, electronic warfare, digital infrastructure, mission planning (MP), and command and control (C2) systems, with a strong emphasis on software-based solutions.

This position plays a pivotal role in supporting our engagements with the U.S. Army customer, specifically focusing on collaboration with the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO), US Army Pacific (USARPAC), and 1st Corps, to shape the Army’s contributions to Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2)-a transformative warfighting concept that connects sensors and shooters globally. The successful candidate will work across the Decision Advantage Business Area and partner with senior leaders throughout the Leidos enterprise (including National Security, Defense Systems, and Health & Civil sectors) to pursue, win, and execute mission-critical programs leveraging enterprise-wide knowledge and capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Develop Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3) and related mission solutions applicable across defense and mission partner initiatives to achieve Combined/Joint All-Domain C2 objectives.
  2. Help transition a broad strategic vision through agile technology, drive a successful partnership-based execution plan, and prioritize efforts for the near, mid, and long-term, with an emphasis on integrating capabilities, structure, and standardization to address emerging customer needs, including classified missions.
  3. Participate in strategy development, and identify and update actions to ensure alignment with strategy implementation.
  4. Develop modern, innovative solutions that drive and integrate capabilities such as Data Share (federation, centricity), Mission System/Applications (C2), continuous delivery, operational sustainment, and national security applications, leveraging capabilities across the commercial and traditional DoD industrial base and international partners.
  5. Collaborate with technical staff, subject matter experts, and Business Development personnel to understand customer needs; lead the development of solutions impacting strategic project/program goals and business results.
  6. Support technical execution on customer and internally funded programs and projects.
  7. Work to secure cross-organization buy-in on solutions that move from current practices toward acceptance of new concepts, practices, and approaches.
