Job summary

TISTA Science and Technology Corporation seeks a Solution System Architect to translate VA supply chain needs into architectural artifacts and product-level solutions, partnering with stakeholders and agile teams. The role drives DoDAF/UAF models, data models, and ICDs while ensuring compliance with VA standards and architecture runway.

Qualifications

• 8+ years IT with at least 4 years as a solution or systems architect on federal IT programs.
• 3+ years hands-on DoDAF/UAF architecture modeling, data flows, and Solution Architecture Packages.
• Experience designing complex system integrations using REST/JSON APIs, HL7, FHIR, and ICDs.
• Architectures spanning legacy systems, SaaS platforms, and containerized cloud workloads.
• Strong Agile/SAFe background, contributing to Architectural Runway and PI Planning.
• Security and cloud architecture expertise including Zero Trust, ICAM/PIV, cloud migrations, and ATO docs.
• Familiarity with VA OIT governance (TRM, VIP Guide, PLM Playbook).
• Experience with VA supply chain and logistics products is highly preferred.
• Ability to lead customer-facing design reviews and manage cross-team dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct product discovery with stakeholders to translate needs into DoDAF/UAF models.
• Develop Solution Architecture Packages, multi-year roadmaps, and data models.
• Guide Agile delivery with epics and acceptance criteria, support UI/technical prototypes.
• Design system integrations and API specifications, favoring centralized integration platforms.
• Manage interface approvals and ICDs; coordinate with security for ISAs and SLAs.
• Document infra, networking, and cloud requirements for migrations and DR planning.
• Ensure architectures comply with VA standards (TRM, 508, IPv6, ICAM/PIV) and support ATO.
• Contribute to SAFe Architectural Runway and quarterly PI Planning; maintain artifacts.
• Support proposals, create reusable templates, and identify AI-assisted workflow opportunities.
